You slept fine. You feel fine. But the shadows under your eyes say otherwise, and no amount of concealer fixes it for long.

The skin under your eyes is the thinnest skin on your body. It is a fraction of the thickness of the skin on your cheek.
Thin skin = Shadows show through
Two things are hiding under there. Tiny blood vessels, which show through thin skin as a blue-grey shadow. And melanin, the brown pigment that makes a tan or a freckle, which collects under the eyes and sits right at the surface.
As you get older that skin gets thinner still, so both show more. That is the "tired" look.
Concealer covers it for a few hours. It does nothing about the cause.
